Praise for Wormburner from the good people at Time Out New York.
NYC Taper was on-hand at the benefit show we played earlier this month with Deer Tick. The result is a professional live recording of our entire set. Click here for free access to the recording, as well as another very nice write-up about Wormburner. NYC Taper is New York City’s premiere live music archivist, having recorded atists like Deer Hunter and Stephen Malkmus in just these past few weeks.
Indie music blog The Deli nominated Wormburner for August 2011’s NYC Artist(s) of the Month poll, and we won the title! Thanks for your votes!
We’re playing a great big show with Deer Tick on Wednesday August 10th. It’s a benefit for The Tommy Brull Foundation. The event will be held at Mulcahy’s Music Hall in Wantagh, Long Island. If you’re traveling from New York City, the club is located right across the street from the LIRR train station in Wantagh. Come out to support a great cause, and get to see an intimate performance by Deer Tick the nite before they headline a massive show at Pier 54 in Manhattan.
It’s our biggest show to date, folks. On Sunday July 24th, Wormburner will open for the almighty Cracker at Brooklyn Bowl. Amazingly, tickets are only fifteen bucks! This show promises to be history-in-the-making. Don’t miss it.

We’re back from the West Coast! Here’s some video footage of us performing on Good Day LA. We were thrilled to share this morning television segment with a gallery of esteemed street artists who, like us, had journeyed cross-country for their West Coast debut.
Seattle was perhaps the highlight of the tour. The venerable KEXP hosted us for an interview where we performed 4 songs live-in-the-studio . The radio station captured some great photos of our visit as well.
To celebrate our return to New York City, we’re playing a show at Pianos on Thursday June 9th. We hit the stage at 9:30PM. Mark your calendars and be there to welcome us home!
To send us off on our WEST COAST TOUR with a bit of fanfare, Street Date is featuring a recently-recorded, videotaped interview segment with Wormburner in a rare acoustic performance setting. Street Date is a CBS online service that reviews new CDs and features live studio sessions every week. Click here for some live acoustic performances and a nicely-edited interview segment.
This Springtime, Wormburner will take the show on the road for our first-ever WEST COAST TOUR dates. We’ll kick things off in Fantastic LA with a show at The Silverlake Lounge on Thursday May 12th. We’ve also been invited to the venerable KEXP in Seattle for an in-studio interview and live performance on Saturday May 14th at 1:00PM Pacific Time. Then we’re playing a 10:00PM show at The Mix that evening. Additional Northwest club dates will be announced shortly. Keep checking back for news, and please help spread the word!

Our third LP! This album’s cast of desperate characters includes a downed airman in WWII Europe, a 21st Century soldier returning home from battle, and a transient gay hustler whose youthful looks are weathering with age.
